Mastering the art of shooting a good interview takes time and practice. When done well, an interview can send a message that feels genuine and authentic. INTERVIEW SET UP
So you've got your subject, your location and someone who can talk in front of a camera. However, all you've got is your phone and a tripod. It's a great start, but wouldn't it be a shame to not get the maximum out of your interview?

UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEWS
This kind of interview would be found in something like a documentary. It has no plan, there is no structure to the interview and the subject is allowed to speak freely, however they wish. Unstructured documentaries can be used in YouTube videos especially for something like travel vlogging where the videos appeal would rely on capturing something genuine and spontaneous.
If you're not the outgoing type it may be hard to put yourself in a situation with an unstructured interview. So we can handle all of that for you. STRUCTURED INTERVIEWS
If you've got a marketing campaign and you've decided to incorporate an interview somewhere into it, you are probably going to be using a structured interview. This is an interview where you know what you are going to ask your subject, and it's likely that your subject is going to answer the question with a script. An interview like this can be used effectively in the public sector or in corporations where you want to give a personal feel to your message and make the message feel more genuine.
Even though we are primarily documentary makers and we are used to working in spontaneous situations, we are script writers too. If you are looking to create a message from this interview but you are stuck on structuring your questions we are here to help.
